the sound of crackly words: like those coming through a distant radio.  or
a radio with a coat hanger for an antennae.  some of them are easy to make 
out, others are lost into the airwaves.  "... over... cannonball.... claims to
..... ahead of its time...... ...   ... until .... research... "
