driving down highway 8 heading west towards the ocean i was about 1/8 mile
behind a truck towing a float from a parade.  the float was covered in
blue and silver mylar strips which were flying off it at a rapid pace.  i
drove through the cloud of them and pretended i was driving through the static
snow of a television.  it was absolutely fantastic and beautiful.
